Rhino Wrestlers Have Successful Post-Season

Six Rhino wrestlers earned district titles during the 2006-2007 season.  James Beshada (Christian Brothers Academy, 130), Jimmy Somma (Colts Neck, 135), Scott Winston (Jackson, 152), Skylar Engelken (Point Pleasant Borough, 171), Kyle Coleman (Point Pleasant Borough, 189), and Drew Mackay (Spotswood, Heavyweight) all captured district crowns.  During Region action, Beshada, Winston, Engelken, and Mackay, along with Charlie Frankel (Marlboro, 103) advanced to the NJSIAA State Tournament at Atlantic City.  Scott Winston captured his second straight state title and extended his record to 101-0.  James Beshada was our other finalist, finishing in second place.  Charlie Frankel also reached the podium with a seventh place finish.
